"Terrorist Trade"

"It's important for Americans to know that the traffic in drugs finances the world of terror. If you quit drugs, you are joining the fight against terror in America."
-----President George W. Bush in the December 17, 2001 issue of the Danville Register & Bee

Drug use does not support terrorism. On the contrary, the U.S. War on Drugs supports organized crime and terrorism through the black market it has created.

Morphine and codeine are legal medicines used by enormous numbers of people for pain relief. Cocaine is legally used as a topical anesthetic in minor surgeries. Are these patients and physicians supporting terrorism?

The U.S. government is the world's largest buyer of these drugs. Is our government supporting terrorism? What countries grow our poppy and coca? Do they support terrorism?

Coca-Cola still uses de-cocainized coca leaves. Does Coke support terrorism? What happens to the cocaine during this process? Does that support terrorism? What countries grow Coke's coca? Are they supporting terrorism?

Our failing narcotics laws are 88 years old. The billions of dollars being spent right now, along with our military efforts world-wide, will not stop the flow of drugs!

As long as these drugs are legal medicines, someone will steal and sell them. As long as they are physically and/or psychologically addictive, like alcohol, caffeine and nicotine, someone will consume them. And as long as they remain the source of an illegal trillion dollar industry, someone will manufacture and smuggle them.

History, world-wide, has proven this!

End the war on drugs!
