"Sativa Sadness"

Recently many governments across the world, including our closest allies, Canada, Australia and Great Britain, are legalizing or decriminalizing marijuana, and allowing its industrial and medical use. Even several states within our own nation--including Virginia--have approved, called for, or voted on these same measures despite federal government opposition.

In response the Bush Administration is waging a historically unprecedented war against marijuana and its users: “No drug matches the threat posed by marijuana.”

They have engaged in an all-out assault on medical marijuana in California, seizing medical records, supplies and properties, and arresting physicians, sick and dying patients and the owners of legitimate medical facilities.
They are battling to prevent the sale and transportation of all legal products containing hemp, hemp seed or hemp seed oil.
They have threatened economic sanctions and the total disruption of all border crossings against our neighbor Canada.
They are intensely lobbying for a zero tolerance federal drugged driving law which deceptively targets marijuana users.
They have written an open letter to America's prosecutors asking them to “aggressively prosecute marijuana cases, and to work with legislators to update local laws that impede marijuana prosecutions.”
And they have launched a national media campaign that calls marijuana users terrorists, and displays fabricated situations that are identical to scenes right out of the 1936 fictitious marijuana film “Reefer Madness”.

The cost of this war is over $20 billion annually with real victims and casualties that number in the millions! And it relies on distorted facts, manipulated statistics and blatant lies to allow and justify the arrests of over 700,000 Americans each year on marijuana charges.
ON BEHALF OF ALL THESE PEOPLE END THE LIES ABOUT MARIJUANA!
END MARIJUANA PROHIBITION!
